Despite what our competitors claim, Poly Tech AK parts are clearly the best. The factories of Poly Technologies, Inc. have over thirty years experience manufacturing weapons systems for the Chinese military. The Poly Tech AKS-762 is the only AK to incorporate all of the latest product enhancements adopted by the Chinese military. These additional refinements may cost a little more, but the result is a genuine AK manufactured to Chinese mil-specs, not some cheap imitation.

For starters, the bolt carrier (and bolt) are parkerized for improved corrosion resistance. Our competitors use either a blue finish or none at all (See photo 1 above). The gas block is machined from a solid forging for superior strength. Our competitors use a casting to save money. Guess which one is made to mil-specs! The breech block is also machined from a solid forging for superior strength. Our competitors decided to cut corners by using two separate pieces fastened together.

All Poly Tech AK hammers feature a special heat-treating process utilized on all mil-spec AKs to insure against component failure. Our competitors do not use this special process.  Extensive torture tests conducted by the Chinese military (in full auto-mode) revealed a 125% improvement in durability versus components left untreated (See photo 2 above).

The Poly Tech AK hammer retaining spring is coiled around the safety lever shaft to guard against potential dislodgement of the hammer. In all other AKs, the hammer retaining spring rests alongside the left hand side of the receiver; it is not secured.

All Poly Tech AKs are equipped with spring-loaded firing pins to eliminate any chance for the occurrence of a "slam fire". Our competitors still use floating firing pins - use commercial 7.62x39mm loads in their rifles at your own risk! (See photo 3 above).

Our inventory of Poly Tech AKS and original PRC-surplus SKS parts is still one of the largest in the U.S. Except where noted, all of our parts are brand-new, not take-offs from fully assembled firearms.

Compatibility Notice. The parts listed on our website are NOS (New Old Stock) originally manufactured by Poly Technologies, Inc. of China between 1986 and 1989. These were produced at State Arsenals 416 and 386 during that time and some parts should be compatible with later production MAK-90 rifles produced by China North Industries Corporation (NORINCO). We, however, only guarantee the proper fit and function of these parts on rifles imported by Keng's Firearms Specialty, Inc. between 1985 and 1989. Please note that PRC Type 56-pattern parts are not compatible with Russian, Hungarian, Romanian or Bulgarian-manufactured AK-pattern rifles, so these parts should not be used on rifles produced in those countries or on tooling imported from those countries.

For a limited time, we are also offering a limited selection of hard-to-find parts for the Mauser C-96, Bolo and 1930 Commercial pistols. These are all original parts taken from pistols manufactured by Mauser in Oberndorf am Neckar, Germany prior to WW II. These are in good to excellent overall condition and are in very limited supply.
